Sybille Troubleyn
DipWSET - Weinakademiker
Taste is very personal and Sybille likes to contribute through education to the development of your own palette and to guide you in your personal wine career.
After her studies at the hotel school Spermalie, Sybille travelled to Bordeaux to further perfect her passion for wine. She graduated in 'Commerce des Vins et Spiritueux' and 'Diplôme Universitaire d'Aptitiude à la Dégustation' and then spent a year travelling around the world. The route took her through the vineyards of the so-called 'New World'. On her way she met many passionate wine professionals who were WSET certified. These fascinating encounters triggered her to complete the Wine & Spirit Education Trust program herself, and later, with her company WineWise, to offer the WSET courses in the BeNeLux.
She values lifelong learning and commitment and wants to share this with her students through the WineWise LifeLong Learning platform. Besides being a certified WSET educator, Sybille is also a certified Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Sherry, Madeira and California educator.
In her free time, she is creative or goes for nature walks, which inspire her.
Piet Vannieuwenhuyse
DipWSET - Weinakademiker
Years of experience in gastronomy combined with his broad wine knowledge are Piet's main strengths as a wine educator.
After studying commercial sciences and European economics, Piet started his professional career as a restaurant manager. The initial plan was to do this for a few years. In the end, it turned out to be 25 years. During this fascinating period, Piet travelled a lot and met many interesting people in the wine world. Piet was infected with their passion for wine and decided to study wine further. He could find no 'better' wine education than the WSET course at WineWise. After obtaining the WSET level 4 Diploma & the title Weinakademiker, Piet became a full-time wine educator at WineWise in 2015. Besides being a certified WSET educator for wines and sake, Piet is also a certified Sherry, Madeira and VDP educator.
When Piet is not at work he goes out to sport or to dinner. And he also enjoys a good book.
"Lifelong learning" remains our motto, and this is how we see many trainees grow from novice to expert in their field. The wine and spirit industry has so much to offer, from the land to the glass. Every day, we see beautiful projects from our graduates. That is great!

Jenny van Lieshout
DipWSET - Weinakademiker
Jenny is an all-round wine professional, focused on both WSET wine education and wine trade/export management.
I feel privileged that I can divide my working hours between both wine sales and wine education.
I spend most of my time managing global exports for winemaker Oxer Bastegieta, producer of unique Txakoli and premium Rioja wines.
In the field of education, I am committed to WSET. Thanks to this education program, I learned so much about wine in a relatively short time and eventually made a career in the wine trade. I now run my own school (APP) in the Netherlands and teach for WineWise in Belgium.
As a working mom of young twins, I don’t have a lot of free time, but the limited time I do have, I like to spend horseback riding (western style) or training my dog (scent detection).
Why should we learn all this? Because one day it will serve!
