Spanish Wine Educators Course

On november 9th, 10th and 11th 2008, the Antwerp conference center 't Elzenveld was the setting for an intensive course on Spanish Wines. The only recently promoted and first Spanish Master of Wine Pancho Campo accepted the WineWise invitation to teach his two day Spanish Wine Educators Course. Main purpose of this course: educate true Ambassadors for Spanish Wines.

During this two day course, all Spanish wine regions are covered, together with the most important DO's: soils, climate, grape varieties, wine styles, and some 50 wines to illustrate the theory. It was a high level course, combining actual information on Spanish wines with a thorough explanation of the tasted wines, grape varieties etc. On november 11th, the lessons learned could be evaluated during a practical and theoretical exam, leading to a certification.
